East of England Regional Assembly's new website for 2008 was delivered to a tight deadline, with good results.
The East of England Regional Assembly (EERA) is a partnership body bringing together elected councillors from the regions 54 councils and representatives from the private, voluntary and community sectors.
The East of England Regional Assembly is independent of Government and represents the regional interests of people living and working in the East of England (comprising Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Peterborough, Luton, Southend-on-Sea and Thurrock). It exists to promote the economic, social and environmental well-being of the region.
EERA currently has around 55 staff engaged in planning, scrutiny, policy, training, consultancy and support to regional employers These staff are based at Flempton House, near Bury St Edmunds.
EERA required a web site to engage the community throughout the East of England and communicate with all of its stakeholders. It was essential that the new web site would be easily kept up to date by different departmental staff have a secure area for stakeholders and reflect a professional image as befits an organisation such as EERA.
EERA project team selected the Web-Labs Content Master Enterprise Content Management System to develop its new website.
The EERA web site is designed to comply with the Governments accessibility standards and is functionally rich with software modules including:
- Committee Minutes
The Content Management System has proven to be relaible and easy to use and content ownership has increased throughout the Assembly.
Working with Web-labs EERA has built and maintained a good quality web-site that meets our stakeholder needs. Web-labs have provided good value software and provide a high level of services
